Food. The life source to all living beings. Without food there is no life. But where does it come from? What happens when a depletion in food supply risks the well being of the products themselves? And what happens to nature as the food supply is tainted and partially destroyed through the process of industrialization?

All of these factors are often hidden form public knowledge. As well as the concepts of industrialization of food production in America are kept secret from the general population.

Fresh documentary discusses these topics, questions, and details. In this documentary the purpose is to delve deeper into these topics and reveal the truth behind the struggles of the industrialization process of the food industry. As well as a positive outlook on what is being done one step at a time to better our economy and food supply.

By targeting everyone in America who cares about where their food comes from and how it is effected by the byproducts added to what they eat everyday. It allows for a sense of concern and need for action in order to better their personal lives. Among many other rhetorical tools used in the Fresh documentary the purpose is clear. Eating good foods, and being able to better our environment and the environment of the products we consume everyday are vital to the future success of our ecosystem.

It is made abundantly clear in this documentary that if there is no change in the way we produce food for others there will be no ecosystem left. This documentary really brings out the importance for change and for it to happen sooner rather than later just one step at a time.

So, which one would you rather have? Fields of green or fields of disease?

  1. You captured the message of Fresh very well. I like how you noted that the documentary not only highlights the problems but also provides hope by showcasing the positive changes already occurring. It’s significant to understand that our daily food choices can either harm or heal the environment. Your last question summarizes it perfectlychange begins with us, and even small steps count.
